The Way of St. James
Cris Hardaway looks at how a retired couple, Dr. Bryan and Barbara Simmons, were inspired by a film entitled, The Way. The Santiago de Compostela also known as the Way of St James is one of three great Christian Pilgrimages, which early Christians traveled for attornment. Their nearly 500 mile journey through Spain was a post retirement goal requiring special training for Barbara, who has to artificial knees and Brian who is blister prone. They share their 35 day experience interacting with supportive fellow hikers from all over the world although they were unable to speak the language. Listen as they describe the spiritual component, lessons learned and impact of seeing the gifts at the end of the journey found at the foot of the cross.
